History
In 1908, on the Sant Pere Més Baix street de Barcelona, a group of friends interested in dance in general and specifically for these of our country, Catalonia, they wrote and signed the Statutes of a new entity called Esbart Català de Dansaires. It happened over a hundred years ago. If you want to know your history, you can select the period you want.

After the fiftieth anniversary
The following year to the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary, began with one resignation: that of Jaume Simon who asked, at the meeting held on January 11, leave dance teacher for health reasons. The Board of Directors despite regret, accepted the resignation and decided to offer the position to Francesc Passapera, who accepts it.
Before a week it received another unfortunate news: the death of Joan Amades, partner and former president of the Catalan Esbart Dansaires whose funeral the Board attended for said goodby to the president of the entity between 1924 and 1926.
On March 1, dancers and directors, on the fiftieth anniversary of the building of the Palau de la Música Catalana, attended a touching ceremony in the stadium of FC Barcelona in which two hundred couples dancers danced, under the coordination of Esbart Català, the Ballet Muntanya.
